One Accord Karate will be conducting “Stop the Bleed” class for its students and families as part of its approach on “individual preparedness” and to give students the ability to take care of themselves, their family, and people around them if the need arises.
The class will be on Monday, April 15, 2019. it will replace the normal karate class for this special event.
You do not need to be in karate uniform …unless you want to 🙂
Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign and call-to-action.
Stop the Bleed is intended to cultivate grassroots efforts that encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped, and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives.
The class will be taught by Bryan Rullan, a certified BLS (Basic Life Support) instructor, and current faculty of Allied Health at Seattle Central Colleges.
Please tell me how many of your family members will attend with you, so I will know how much materials I will bring.
Also, I will be needing all of the attendee’s names so I will know what to put on the Certificate of Course Completion. (use the register button below so I will know the correct spelling of each name)
Since we are
going to deal with the issue of stopping the bleeding, graphic images will be shown in the video or in materials provided, please be aware.
We will have practical hands-on activity after the lecture.
I know this is a difficult subject, but it is a part of our new reality that we need to be prepared for.
If you have any questions or comment, email me back, text me, or bring it up in class.
